I was born in Gulfport and started attending Bible School at New Hope in 1955.
My parents were very involved in all aspects of the church and I followed in their footprints.  After graduating from Harrison Central High School, I earned a B.S. and M.S. degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.  I started teaching and coaching in Harrison County School District in 1975 and retired after 34 years of service spending the last 10 years as the principal of the Harrison County Alternative School.

I now work as a financial planner through L.Langston Financial Solutions. I married Regina Hammond at New Hope in July 1978.  We have been active in all the functions of the church and both of us now serve as Sunday School teachers.  We have two grown daughters, Melanie and Stephanie (Ryan / twin grandsons, Riley and Hayden) that were active in the youth ministry and the church music programs while growing up.  They both remain active in the programs of their home churches.

Carol Gilmore (Edgar)

Church Pianist

Born at King Daughter's Hospital in Gulfport, MS. I have attended NHBC since early childhood with my parents, Angelo & Hazel Donald and my older brothers Wayne & Joe. I was saved at age 8 and baptized in the Wolf River by Rev. Pat Clarady.

By age 12, I was playing the piano for the night service at church. I have been part of the music program at NH for over 50 years, playing the piano and organ, singing in the Adult choir, and working with the beginner, Primary, Junior and Youth choirs through the years. The Bible tells us to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord", and I have been wonderfully blessed to be a part of that at NHBC.

I am a graduate of HCHS, MGCJC/JD Campus, and the University of Southern Mississippi, earning a BS degree in Business Education.  I was employed by the Harrison County School District for over 26 years, retiring in 2000. I have been married to Edgar Gilmore for 11 years and our blended family consists of 7 daughters (2 deceased) and 3 sons, and all their spouses. Together we enjoy our 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, ranging in ages from 1 to 29, toddlers to college graduates!

God has been so Faithful and His Blessings and Mercies are new everyday!!
